Check if your printer is powered on

Open the door to the cartridge compartment

Put your fingers into the slot situated at the left side of the printer, and then drag the slot to access the door to the cartridge compartment. While the cartridge compartment is open, the carriage of the printer will move to the left side of the printer.

Release the cartridge you want to replace

Wait for the carriage of the printer to stop moving and become perfectly still. Now push the front part of ink cartridge that you want to replace.

Take the old cartridge and align the new cartridge

Pull out the old ink cartridge from the slot. Hold the new ink cartridge and align it in a way so that the contacts on the cartridge are facing the printer.

Push the new ink cartridge in the slot

Now gently push the new ink cartridge into the slot till you hear a click sound. Make sure that the colored dot on the label of the cartridge must match the color of the dot shown in the slot.
